Through endurance, and through the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, that together we may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:4b-6

sweeter than strawberry pie II

  Theres really nothing
quite so sweet
as tiny
little
baby feet

Four months of life is a sweet milestone. We celebrate Leila's healthy body & a curious mind. Her fingers are reaching, & her voice beginning. She has managed to roll from her belly to her back a few times. Happiness in her little world is riding along to the school table, the sink for kitchen duty and anywhere else someone will take her. She lets us know if she is left alone in a room & Max is the first to bring her along, "So she won't get lonely, Mom." he says. A more routine nap schedule is appearing slowly. Her wet baby fingers love to pat and poke Elle's face, these little girls who have their own communication.
Leila isn't always cheerful. I don't know anyone who always is. Her squeaks and squawks are usually related to loud brother-made noises, long car seat rides & an empty (or half empty!) belly.
Do we indulge her? Maybe a little. So would you for the reward of a gummy smile and wet wiggly nuzzle against your neck. She does do her share of waiting. It's not always her turn.
But we surely do make way for baby.

Thanks, Juanita, for being a willing & very able photographer!
